Deco at The Scala 23/10/26

I was looking forward to this show. I hadn't heard of Deco before but a quick instagram search indicated they were a nostalgic 80s synth pop band and looked like a lot of fun

Yasuharu Takanashi at Dingwalls review 2/10/26

My head was banging like I was at a metal show but my legs were jigging as if I was at a folk show. The first thing that grabbed my attention was the incredibly high, fast paced energetic music that was making me want to dance my way into the night but also the colourful cosplays striked me, it was very clever timing as it made a great Friday warm up to the Anime con happening at Olympia over the weekend and Japan Matsuri in Trafalgar Square.

Docile and Liebniz at The Birds Nest review 25/09/26

I walk into the Birds Nest and spot a few local punters at the bar, I turn the corner and Docile have already arrived casually playing pool in the back of the pub and I could already tell it was going to be a fun evening.

Jazz

Alfa Mist 24th September

Eager to join the trickling crowd of friendly jazz enthusiasts marching through the park with their phone torches to head to the show, I was excited to experience my first time seeing live jazz and the open air theatre, my inner beatnik was feeling proud. I hear music echoing through the fields, it was the opening act Jamie Leeming.

James Toseland at The Black Heart 21/09/26

The band enter the stage, they start with a bang. James Toseland walks on wearing tight denim jeans, a white t-shirt and a 90s boy band hair cut that would make even a Backstreet Boy envious. He holds the wireless microphone to his mouth to sing and OOPS goes the sound guy, it isn't working

Strange Therapy Showcase at Radial 19/9/26

I was looking for something a bit different. I moved back to London in 2024 after living in Montreal and there was something I felt that was missing or I just couldn't find in London that I became really accustomed to when going to shows on the east coast of Canada and that was an eclectic mix of music genres incorporated into one night.

Laura Viers Earth 17/09/26

Laura Viers already has her fans captivated thanks to her previous tours. I chat to fellow music lovers in the queue who have seen her play multiple times and consider her a great live musician. I intentionally didn't listen to any of her records before the show and was ready for a surprise and to see what the fuss was about.

Mindcrime - Islington Assembly Hall 5th September

The show began with a haunting introduction and a smoke machine, which created a ghostly effect. The ambience felt very forboding as if you were in a cemetary but the energy very quickly shifted to a fast pace with an immersive drumbeat when Geoff Tate came on stage

Smokeshow - Rough Trade Denmark Street 5th September 2026

A refreshing change of pace from the hustle and bustle of London, I walked through the crowds of protesters and tourists in Trafalger Square to reach my final destination, Denmark Street sessions. A block party on the famous spot in the West End with a past reputation for shaping the U.K music industry. It was a Saturday affair celebrating the music and culture on this historic area in London, aka Tin Pan Alley..

Black Keys - Hammersmith Apollo 31 August

The Black Keys performed to a packed venue, it was a sold out show afterall. A long way since their humble beginnings as independent performers. The crowd did not hold back expressing their love for the band, donning Black Keys T-shirts from previous tours and not shy to sing along and have a bit of a boogie.
