Jay Davis's BadTrad is formed from an inquisitiveness about people. Compositions include pieces using melodies overheard being hummed by strangers in the street, a robotic construction from a laptop and a three-year-olds' piano improvisation. Showcasing some of the most exciting improvisers from the UK scene, the band draw on a broad range of musical influences from European choral music to free jazz.
