Come and join us for a night of fantastic music to raise money for Read Easy Islington, a voluntary group providing free, one-to-one reading coaching to adults in Islington who cannot read or who struggle with their reading. Featuring: * SOPHIE STEWART: Sophie is a queer indie singer-songwriter based in London. Flitting between confidence and vulnerability, her music explores the themes of identity, longing and belonging as she hurtles through her twenties. Influenced by the likes of Courtney Barnett, Julia Jacklin and Marika Hackman, she weaves observational songwriting with gritty, melodic guitar lines. (https://linktr.ee/sophiestewartmusic) * LYDIA HAILE: Lydia Haile is an Ethiopian-American singer-songwriter and guitarist based in London, from Las Vegas. The gig will take place in Aces & Eights' basement bar, with doors at 7.30pm.
